Go Brewers Go!!

Today seemed to be the longest work day ever. My co-worker Phil and I have been half hazardly tracking the moon to see how it correlates with how customers are on any given day. Recently I've noticed that people are loonier when there is only about 1-2% of the moon exposed than when it's a full moon. However, May 31st gave us a blue moon. I wouldn't have realized it but my friend Michelle sent out an email about it. What's so special about a blue moon? It's when a full moon happens twice within the same month. It occurs every 2-1/2 years. Customers were full on crazy. It's just a lot of really odd and random requests or people calling before they have any idea what they want. I work for an industrial components company so we get a lot of calls that start out, "I'm looking for a bolt (pause, pause, pause). I never realized how un-descriptive that sort of statement was until I started working in this industry. Every call I'd transfer to Phil he'd ask, "Is it a Full Moon customer?" That's what kept us going…we had to laugh about that.

Mike and I went to the Brewers game tonight. It was Don Sutton bobble head night. The Brewers beat the Marlins 8 to 5. We didn't stay for the full game because Mike needed to get up early for the MACC fund Trek 100 ride. He's riding 62 miles. It was raining all evening. Luckily Miller Park's roof was closed before the start of the game so we stayed dry and comfortable until we went to leave. Then it was a very wet walk back to the car.

I fully intended to come home tonight and cut the fabric for the Princess quilt. That didn't happen. I'm too tired and have had a sinus headache all day. There's always tomorrow…

One of my daughters worked in an alzheimer unit for 5 years, the other works with troubled youth. They both swear by the fact that everyone goes nuts when there's a full moon. Both groups got definately more volitole (sp?) and act out more. Interesting, isn't it? Rhoda

I used to work as an airline reservationist and we actually had a computer file that had the dates of all the full moons for a year. I would get a couple of truly nutty calls (there were ALWAYS nutty calls, but the worst ones were on full moons) and check the file, almost invariably it was a full moon night.
Me: "Hi and thank you for caling our airline, how may I help you?"
Customer: "Yes, could you tell me if I can ship a moose in cargo?"

Me: "Hi and thank you for caling our airline, how may I help you?"
Customer: "Yes, I'd like to fly to the South, could you tell me how much that would be?"

Me: "Hi and thank you for caling our airline, how may I help you?"
Customer: "My battalion needs to get to Hawaii for a training exercise, we'd like to fly your airline but either the guys need to take the M-16s on board with them or I will need to put one of my guys in the cargo hold with all of the weapons. Which would your airline want us to do?"

Sometimes people can be so weird. I used to work as a financial advisor for 7 years and people would just kill me. They can be very dumb sometimes...I would complain everyday...
