2001 - Signature Quilt

This was the first signature quilt I ever made. It was for my soon to be sister in law on her 30th Birthday.

Wendy's 30th Birthday Signature Quilt

On this quilt it became dreadfully clear that one needs to make sure that no white space should touch an edge of a signature block to save people from a message that may end in a seam. No amount of directions...even verbal as your sitting in front of them seems to sink in!!

Very nice, Jen. Did you hang out at the new place yesterday? Did you take your sewing machine?

Jen, I found this out the hard way... with my daughters wedding signature quilt. When putting it all together there were a few (including one from her now deceased great grandmother) that had part of their "signature" cut off. We even had 2 quilt attendants to advise them. No one really listens!!! Hope the move is going well ~ we made 6 trips so far this weekend. Most of it was my sewing room and it's not done!!! YIKES

Love the quilt. This is one quilt that I have not made yet. I think it will be on my "to-do list" for someday...

Hey Jen...saw your new washer on your Mom's blog. Very cool! You'll be watching your wash all the time! I never saw one of those.

The signiture quilt is awesome. I had the same trouble on my parents anniversary quilt.
