Quilts on Barns - #18 Sawtooth 16 Patch

Our 18th Barn, the Sawtooth 16 Patch located at 5200 Raynor Avenue in Franksville, WI we stumbled upon while we were headed to another barn. Somehow this one was showing up as much further away. Jen & I turned into the driveway right behind the family who lives there. The wife was really excited that we came to see their barn. She talked with us for quite a while. They wanted black and white incorporated into their block because they have Holstein Cows, they also wanted a star. The family that was volunteering to paint the block have a mother that quilted and this was one of the blocks that their mother had made a quilt of years ago.

Another pretty one and it's great you got to talk to the owner and get a little history about the block and the colors in it.

Maybe we should have quilt blocks in Windows? We could each pick our favorite and make a 18" block of it.

I stumbled upon this quilt barn myself yesterday, while driving the backroads south into Illinois.
