Cre8tive Quilter’s Hurricane Recipe

I was put in charge of putting together a Recipe Book full of all the awesome foods that we ate while at Quilt Retreat.  Of course, I can’t do this until they actually send me the recipes but in the mean time, I’m sharing my ever favorite Hurricane Recipe.

Quilt retreat rocked with just the suggestion of alcohol…it makes everyone giddy.  These hurricanes could be amped up with more alcohol but for quilt retreat with sharp implements of destruction, just a little rum was more than enough!!  If someone would have wanted a stronger drink, they could have cracked open the bottles of rum and added more to their drink.

Cre8tive Quilter’s Hurricane Recipe

punch pineapplegingeralecooler
  • (1) 1 Gallon bottle of Hawaiian Punch
  • (1) 46 ounce can of Pineapple Juice
  • (1) 2 liter bottle of Ginger Ale
  • 12 ounces light rum
  • 12 ounces dark rum
Pour into a beverage cooler, stir and dispense over ice.  Enjoy!!

If it’s a single serving you desire this is about what it breaks down to thanks to Excel:
  • 5 ounces Hawaiian Punch
  • 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 1.5 ounces Ginger Ale
  • 1/3 of a shot light rum
  • 1/3 of a shot dark rum
Add additional rum as desired.

These were just so goooooooood. For someone who doesn't drink all that much they rocked. They declared me a featherweight. But the laughing that went along with them was sure fun.
